Breyers Vanilla Ice Cream/Frosted Flakes Peanut Butter French Toast Sandwiches

Ingredients:

  • 4 slices of white bread

  • 3/4 cup of Breyers Natural Vanilla ice cream, melted

  • 1 large egg

  • 1 cup crushed Frosted Flakes cereal

  • 6 tablespoons peanut butter

  • 2 tablespoons strawberry jam

  • 2 tablespoons butter

 

Directions:

1. Make your peanut butter and jelly sandwich as you normally would.          

2. Melt butter in frying pan on medium heat.

3. In a shallow wide bowl. Add the melted ice cream and egg, beat together for 2 minutes.

4. In a separate shallow wide bowl, add crushed Frosted Flakes.

5. Dip each sandwich in the ice cream egg mixture for 5 seconds each side. Then coat the sandwich in frosted flakes each side.

6. Add sandwiches to frying pan and cook each side for 4 minutes or until golden brown. Remove to a plate and let rest for 10 minutes so the peanut butter can set up again. Cut in half and serve.
